Domain Email Configuration and Usage

Prerequisites

Before starting to configure domain email, please ensure you have completed the following prerequisites:

• Domain Setup and DNS Configuration
• Resend Integration

Configuring Domain Email

Domain email is important for business, as it builds user trust more effectively than using personal email addresses.

We can use Cloudflare's email forwarding feature to meet this need. This feature is free to use and can forward emails received by your domain email (e.g., [email protected]) to your personal email (e.g., [email protected]).

Configuration steps are as follows:

Sign in to the Cloudflare website, navigate to your domain management dashboard, go to the Email page, and follow the guided steps:

The displayed status shows success. From now on, emails sent to your domain email will be forwarded to your personal email.

Using Domain Email to Reply to Messages

You can now receive emails sent to your domain email, but replying from that address requires additional setup. By leveraging Resend's SMTP functionality, we can solve this problem.

Using Gmail as an example, the implementation steps are as follows:

Open Gmail settings in the top right corner:

Click Add another email address to set up a new email address

Next, go to Resend, navigate to Settings > SMTP, and copy the following values to Gmail:

• Host → SMTP Server
• Port → Port
• User → Username

After submitting, your Gmail will receive a confirmation email

From now on, when composing emails, you can select your domain email as the sender
